Rainbow City Library News

If your local library participates in Camellia Net (We do!) you can currently get immediate access to Camellia Net/Libby by visiting the Camellia Net web site at https://camellia.overdrive.com/ or downloading the Libby app and using your mobile phone number.

We are also offering online registration for library cards to Etowah County residents at this time. The temporary card will allow you borrow eBooks, digital magazines, and audiobooks via Camellia Net and RBdigital. You'll also have access to other electronic resources listed on our website. Visit our online catalog at http://catalog.rbclibrary.org/opac/rcpl/#menuHome to register for a library card. If you prefer, library employees can process your application by phone M-F 9am-5pm. Call 256-442-8477 ext. 0. Non-residents may not apply for RCPL cards at this time.

All of the titles from Duke’s Classics have simultaneous access so your entire class or grade can read a title at the same time.  You can look for the “Quarantine with the classics” list or see a list of available titles here:  https://camellia.overdrive.com/camellia-rainbow/content/collection/1051927

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone eBook and audiobook are also available during April with no waiting: https://camellia.overdrive.com/camellia-rainbow/content/collection/1060508.

Please share this info with fellow teachers, parents, and students.  By the way, all public libraries in Etowah County participate in Camellia Net and so do many other public libraries in Alabama.
